Tether me down to the ground, if you love me
The winds of change are at my heels once more
I’ve been running too far, too fast, for too long
Need to drop anchor and rest, lay my head on the shore
Let me listen to the whispers of the rustling trees
Feel the pulse of the earth through my bones
Tether me down to the ground, if you love me
Let us drown out the call o’ the wild with sweet moans
Beautiful writing. Nicely done!

Thank you for reading! I just read your “Before Sunset.” It is perfect and so satisfying.
